Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last Updated: 22 September 2026
This Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to all products and services purchased from Softobotics Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) through our website, applications, or other authorised payment channels.
By making a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Cancellation Policy
Customers may request cancellation of an order, subscription, or service by contacting us at [email protected].
Cancellation requests will be considered based on the status of the product or service:
A. Services Not Yet Started
If work or service delivery has not commenced, a customer may request cancellation. Where approved, the amount paid will generally be refunded to the original payment method, subject to any applicable transaction, processing, or other legally permissible charges.
B. Services Already Commenced
If work or service delivery has already commenced, cancellation may still be requested. The refund, if any, will be determined based on the portion of services already delivered, work completed, resources committed, and the applicable service agreement or order terms.
Any refund will be calculated fairly and in accordance with applicable Indian laws.
C. Digital Products and Software
For digital products, software, subscriptions, licenses, or other electronically delivered products, cancellation eligibility may depend on whether access has already been provided, activated, downloaded, consumed, or substantially used.
Where a refund is applicable, it will be processed in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
2. Refund Eligibility
A refund may be provided in circumstances including, but not limited to:
- Payment made more than once for the same product or service.
- Payment received by us in error.
- Failure by us to provide the purchased product or service as agreed.
- Material deficiency in the service that cannot reasonably be corrected.
- Cancellation approved under the applicable order, subscription, or service agreement.
- Any other circumstance where a refund is required under applicable Indian law.
Refunds are not automatically guaranteed merely because a customer changes their mind after the product or service has been delivered or substantially provided, particularly where the product or service has already been used or customised.
Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory rights or remedies available to a consumer under applicable Indian law.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Subject to applicable law, a refund may generally not be available where:
- The customer has fully received and used the purchased service or digital product.
- The service has been customised or specifically developed according to the customer’s requirements and substantial work has already been completed.
- The customer has failed to provide information, access, approvals, or materials necessary for delivery.
- The customer has violated the applicable Terms and Conditions or service agreement.
- The customer terminates a service after the agreed service period has commenced, except where otherwise provided in the applicable agreement or required by law.
4. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
To request a cancellation or refund, please contact:
Email: [email protected]
Subject: Refund/Cancellation Request
Please include:
- Customer name
- Registered email address
- Order/Invoice/Transaction ID
- Date of payment
- Product or service purchased
- Reason for cancellation or refund
- Any supporting information relevant to the request
We may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction and evaluate the request.
5. Refund Processing
Once a refund has been approved, we will initiate the refund within 7 business days, unless a different period is required by applicable law or the relevant payment provider.
Refunds will generally be made to the original payment method used for the transaction. Stripe’s India terms similarly provide that refunds are to be made to the original payment method unless the customer agrees to an alternative method or applicable law requires otherwise.
After we initiate the refund, the time taken for the amount to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the customer’s bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or other payment service provider.
6. Partial Refunds
Where only part of a service or order is eligible for a refund, we may issue a partial refund based on the unused or undelivered portion of the product or service.
For service-based engagements, the refund may take into account work already completed, deliverables provided, third-party costs incurred, and other amounts contractually agreed with the customer, subject to applicable law.
7. Subscription Cancellation
For recurring subscriptions, customers may request cancellation before the next billing cycle.
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable subscription terms:
- Cancellation will prevent future recurring charges.
- Cancellation does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund for the current billing period.
- Refunds for the current billing period will be considered according to this Policy, the applicable subscription terms, and applicable law.
If a subscription has been cancelled but a subsequent payment is nevertheless processed due to a technical or processing issue, the customer may contact us for review.
8. Failed, Duplicate, or Incorrect Payments
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, charged more than once, or charged for an unsuccessful transaction, please contact us with the transaction details.
After verification, any eligible excess or erroneous payment will be refunded to the original payment method.
9. Taxes and Refunds
Where a refund is issued, any applicable tax component will be handled in accordance with applicable Indian tax laws and regulations.
Where required, appropriate tax documentation or adjustments may be issued in connection with the refund.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We encourage customers to contact us before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback so that we can investigate and resolve the issue.
Nothing in this section restricts any rights available to customers under applicable law or the rules of the relevant payment network or financial institution.
Where a payment dispute is initiated, we may provide relevant transaction, order, delivery, communication, and refund records to the payment processor or financial institution as permitted by applicable law.
11. Statutory Rights
This Policy is intended to comply with applicable laws and regulations of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, where applicable, and other applicable laws, regulations, and rules governing the relevant transaction.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any consumer right or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Where any provision of this Policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, the applicable law will prevail.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, business practices, or applicable laws.
The updated version will be published on this page with the revised “Last Updated” date.
